The Venerable Silouan the Athonite (also known as St. Silouan of Mount Athos) was a monk of the early twentieth century at the Monastery of St. Panteleimon known for his wise counsel. St. Thekla, was a disciple and companion of the Apostle Paul in the first century.

On Thursday, September 21, 2017 evening will will offer thanksgiving to our Lord by honoring the Theotokos who, along with Sts. Panteleimon and Paisios, protected us during the hurricane.

We were protected by the Theotokos, St. Panteleimon, and St. Paisios. The Theotokos put her veil over Florida and the Saints calmed the storm just as Christ did for the disciples.

The Theotokos, St. Paisios, and St. Panteleimon are protecting us.

Everyone in the Church is accounted for. This person is taking care of that person, the third is checking in on the fourth, and so forth. It is a beautiful thing to behold. “Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2) the Apostle Paul teaches us.
