Our parish is growing — an quickly too! Join us on Saturday, October 22 at 6:00pm for a fun, food, and fellowship (something we do very well) to get to know each other better.
Everyone is invited! Bring a friend if you like. (People bring friends all the time so don’t be shy.)
Speaker for the Evening
Thoma and Mercedes Sovjani will speak that evening about growing up in Communist Albania. It will be a short presentation with plenty of time for questions and discussion. We will appreciate our freedom more after listening to their story.
St. Peter’s has talented people with rich experiences. Thoma and Mercedes are the first of many parishioners who will be asked to speak and teach us the things we may not know about Orthodox life in different places of the world.
How Do We Contribute to the Potluck?
How can you help? It all starts this Sunday, October 16. So…
- Sign up at the table in the social hall on Sunday to bring your favorite culinary creation. Anthea Teufel, Angela Long, and Tina Kuchera will be manning the table and let you know what is needed (entree, dessert, beverage, etc.)
- Offer to volunteer. We need help with the serving line, clean up, and a few other things. The list will be available Sunday.
- Jot your POT LUCK recipe on a 3″ x 5″ index type recipe cards (3 or 4 cards) and bring with you on Saturday. You will dazzle with your dish!
- On Saturday fill out a “My Name Is” label with your name and city of origin — an easy icebreaker!
