Sts. Peter and Paul Feast Day Liturgy on Thursday June 28, 2018 (Tomorrow)

June 27, 2018

Sts. Peter and Paul
Sts. Peter and Paul

Our Patronal Feast of St. Peter will be held Thursday at St. Paul Orthodox Church in Naples (get map). His Grace Bishop Nicholas will preside and area clergy will attend.

Sts. Peter and Paul are known as the “preachers of the universe.” St. Peter was the first Bishop of Antioch where “…the disciples were first called Christians” (Acts 11:26). St. Paul was the Apostle to the Greeks and planted Christianity in Europe.

Both St. Peter’s in Bonita Springs and St. Paul’s in Naples are sharing this day together since we celebrate this feast on the same day. We begin this year at St. Paul’s and next year it will be at St. Peter’s.

Please make every effort to attend. Having Bp. Nicholas come and celebrate is very significant. A celebratory meal will follow the service. This is an important day and service. We thank St. Paul’s for their invitation and hospitality.

Orthros (Matins) begins at 6:00pm. The Divine Liturgy begins at 7:00pm.
