St. Peter’s Parish Moves From Mission to Church Status
St. Peter’s Orthodox Mission Church is now a officially a Church, not just a mission. What does this mean? It means that our days of being a mission working towards becoming a Church are over and the future is to get the Church planted in a permanent location. Our next step is to find land, eventually build our own building — everything necessary to ensure the continuation of St. Peter’s for the next generation.
It also means that we assume our rightful and necessary obligations for the financial support of the Archdiocese and Diocese. Missions are exempted from these responsibilities to aid in their establishment. From now on we will be aiding the Archdiocese and Diocese as well.
