If you receive a text from Fr. Hans asking for money, ignore it. Do not reply to it. It’s a scam.

The sender will ask you to go to the store and buy gift cards and text the numbers on the cards to the sender posing as Fr. Hans. If you look closely, the number the text comes from is not his.

Fr. Hans never makes any kind of personal request like this (or discusses anything personal) through text or email

Two people in the parish have been affected so far so there are bound to be more. Please be aware and if you ever have any questions call Fr. Hans directly. Even better, shoot him a text. He can respond back faster that way.
